Sucuri, a popular website security provider is now owned by Godaddy.
“The vast majority of our customers aren’t website security experts, nor should they need to be to secure their websites. Combining Sucuri with GoDaddy’s scale will advance digital security for our customers by making it simple, timely and affordable,” says Kevin Doerr, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Security at GoDaddy.
Sucuri Founder Daniel Cid said “Since our inception, we have always had a single goal of protecting our customers’ websites. Now we have the opportunity to take this same philosophy from a few hundred thousand sites to millions of sites.”
“There are no changes to our customers. They will continue to get the service they expect, and they will continue to be Sucuri customers. They can also expect improvements to our support services and products as we invest more in those areas in the coming months and quarters,” he added.
The deal financials are not disclosed. This is a good news for GoDaddy customers as they will get the Sucuri services at some discounted price.
