Is Facebook rule “only 20% text in image ads” is removed?

Generally, Facebook rejects “Image ad” campaigns if the text in image ad is more than 20% of the image.

But from now on, no image ad will be penalized even though the text exceeds 20% of the image. In fact, it helps sometimes to represent the full message in the image ad. We feel it is a positive action by Facebook.

Facebook advises to keep only 20% text in image ads:

“Facebook’s ad system is designed to maximize value for people and businesses. That’s why we conduct research and analyze feedback from our community to understand how different attributes of an ad affect the ad’s performance. We’ve found that images with less than 20% text perform better. With this in mind, we recommend keeping your text short, clear and concise in order to get your message across effectively.” – Facebook
