Google bought a significant change in Google my business service. Starting from this week, all registered business owners can control their “Google My Business” listings directly on Google Maps and Google search.
To keep things simple, “Google My Business” is being renamed “Google Business Profile.” And in 2022, we’ll retire the Google My Business app so more merchants can take advantage of the upgraded experience on Search and Maps.

Sending and receiving messages feature:
Now, users can send messages directly to listed business owners. Business owners also can see and respond to messages right from their Business Profiles on Google Search. More details are here.
Google offering read receipts feature also:
With the read receipts feature, both parties can know whether their messages are seen or not. This feature is launching for all Business Profile merchants this month, further enriching the chat experience for customers and businesses.
